Tola Grossman grew up in a Jewish ghetto in central Poland and was only five years old when her family was sent to a Nazi labor camp. Life there was incredibly difficult. All Tola had was her family and the sheer will to survive.
But then things took an awful turn, and Tola and her parents were separated. Tola and her mother were sent to Auschwitz II, also known as Birkenau - an extermination camp - while her father was sent to Dachau. There Tola faced a string of near-death experiences, including being saved at the last minute from the gas chambers.
This incredible, true story follows Tola - who later changed her name to Tova - through experiences as a young survivor of the Holocaust.
