This compilation of the life of Bunyan comes from various authors, but none can compare to the expressions which fall from the lips of Bunyan himself: "Oh, the remembrance of my great sins, of my great temptations, and of my great fear of perishing for ever! they bring afresh into my mind the remembrance of my great help, my great supports from Heaven and the great grace that God extended to such a wretch as I." George Herbert (1593 -1633) was an eminent and exemplary divine, and noteworthy poet of the 17th century. His Godly and interesting character is related in this narrative.
